Bhubaneswar, Nov 6: This year, the festive atmosphere in Odisha will be heightened as both the Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Bali Yatras are set to commence on November 15, creating a scheduling conflict for visitors. The Cuttack Bali Yatra's opening date was finalized in September, while Bhubaneswar’s date was determined during a meeting held on November 4 by the Bhubaneswar Bali Yatra Mahotsav Samiti, attended by the Khordha district collector and Samiti members.
The Bhubaneswar Bali Yatra will start from November 15 and will continue till November 24, offering a longer celebration than Cuttack. The Cuttack Bali Yatra will take place over eight days, concluding on November 22.
To ensure the successful execution of the festivities, the Khordha collector has pledged to provide all necessary support to the Samiti. Additionally, the Commissionerate of Police is set to implement essential security measures to safeguard visitors and vendors at both events. With two major celebrations unfolding simultaneously, visitors will have an abundance of cultural activities to choose from this November.
