New Delhi, April 10: Vicky Kaushal’s blockbuster historical drama Chhaava, which has already made a significant impact in theaters, is now set for its digital debut on Netflix. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, Chhaava tells the inspiring story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The film was released on February 14, quickly gaining traction at the box office. Netflix recently announced the digital release with a poster and caption: "Aale Raje aale. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Viineet Kumar Siingh, and Ashutosh Rana, alongside Vicky Kaushal, who delivers a powerful performance in the titular role. Chhaava also earned recognition from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who praised the film during the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in New Delhi. Acknowledging Maharashtra's contribution to cinema, he remarked, "Aur in dino toh, Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai," crediting Marathi author Shivaji Sawant’s novel Chhava for bringing Sambhaji Maharaj’s legacy to the forefront. In response, Vicky Kaushal expressed his gratitude on Instagram, saying, "Honoured beyond words! Grateful to Hon. PM Narendra Modi Ji. #Chhaava."
