Puri, Jan 31: The diarrhoea outbreak in Odisha’s Kanas block has claimed one more life as a woman died of the disease, today. With this, the death toll reached six.
The deceased has been identified as Jahni Behera (68) of Jagulaipadar of Gopinathpur

Sources said, she was admitted to the Hitech Hospital here as her condition deteriorated. However, she breathed her last during treatment at the hospital.
The district officials had earlier visited the affected villages, provided medicines and advised people not to use the Daya river water. The district administration has also asked the RWSS division to install tube wells and make provisions for supply of drinking water in the areas.
