Bhubaneswar, Mar 30: Odia film actor and former Korei MLA Akash Das Nayak announced his resignation from the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Saturday. And also Former BJD MLA Priyadarshi Mishra and Actor turned politician Anubhav Mohanty resigns from BJD today.
His decision to resign from the party's primary membership follows the release of the list of candidates for assembly elections and Lok Sabha polls by BJD Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik on March 27.
Akash Das Nayak had previously won a seat in the state legislative assembly during the General elections in 2014 from the Korai constituency.
He has yet to clarify his future political endeavors.
