Bhubaneswar: The Visakhapatnam-based Hockey India League (HIL) franchise team Gonasika launched its official website here on Wednesday. The franchise also announced teams and launched the team anthem.
The team boasts four talented players from Odisha – Nilam Sanjeep Xess, Birendra Lakra, Dipsan Tirkey, and Anmol Ekka.
With HIL’s 2024-2025 season kicking off on December 28 at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, Team Gonasika is set to face off against Delhi SG Pipers in a much-anticipated opener.
The Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey, Olympian Birendra Lakra and team owner Tareni Prasad Mohanty were present.
