Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Rugby Football Association (ORFA) successfully hosted the Senior Inter-District Rugby 7s Men’s Tournament 2025, along with the selection trials at the Govt. High School, IRC Village Ground here on Saturday. The tournament witnessed high-energy performances and remarkable participation from 12 men’s teams representing various districts of the State.
In an electrifying final, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) clinched the championship title, delivering a commanding performance against Keonjhar, with a final score of 20-00. Both teams showcased exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the match.
The battle for the third position saw Mayurbhanj secure a narrow victory over Bhubaneswar, with a final score of 10–05, thereby claiming the third-place trophy.
During the ceremony, U.K. Mohanty, Secretary, ORFA, extended heartfelt thanks to the Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha for their continued support. He emphasized that the department’s assistance was instrumental in the successful organization of both the tournament and the selection trials. He also acknowledged and appreciated the invaluable contribution of the match officials.
