Bolangir, Ap 14: Odisha’s Bolangir was rocked by a ghastly murder when a grocery shop owner was hacked to death in full public view in the morning today.
The incident occurred on Bishnumunda village in Bolangir district.
The victim has been identified as Manoj Nayak, a resident of the same locality.
According to reports, Manoj was sitting near his shop on the pole when an assailant mercilessly hacked him to death. The police suspect that the person responsible for the murder may be from the same village.
Just after the incident,locals rushed Manoj to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Over the past three days, more than five murders have taken place across the district, creating terror among the people.
Police believe the murder was due to past enmity and have launched an investigation into the matter.
