Tamil Nadu, February 19: Three men were arrested in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday in connection with gangrape of an Odia woman.
The incident was reported from the Tiruppur area of the state on Tuesday.
According to the report, the Odia woman who had been there in search of employment with his husband was sexually assauled by the miscreants threatening her spouse at knifepoint.
According to the police, the couple was standing at the railway station when three men identified as Mohammed Nadim (24), Mohammed Denis (25), and Mohammed Mursith (19) came forward to offering assistance in finding them jobs.
Under the pretence of helping, the suspects lured the couple to a secluded place in the remote area and gang raped the woman before her husband.
Following the incident, the victim accompanied by her husband lodged complaint with the Tiruppur North Police Station.
Acting on it, the police registered a case, and arrested the three accused involved in the heinous crime after a thorough investigation.
