Bhubaneswar, Feb 4: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday sanctioned Rs 5 lakhs for the treatment of a minor girl suffering from a rare skin disorder from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

As per reports, the minor girl, seven-year-old Pratyusha Giri, is suffering from Xeroderma and is a resident of Boudh district. Pratyusha’s father Heramb Giri had earlier come to the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell along with his daughter on December 30, 2024, according to the CMO.

After witnessing the severity of the disease, CM Majhi arranged for the girl’s treatment at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar and later at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

On Monday, Heramb once again visited the Chief Minister at Grievance Cell, seeking further assistance for his ailing daughter’s treatment. Acting on it, CM Majhi sanctioned Rs 5 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for her treatment through the Single Window System at the Grievance Cell.

In addition, CM Majhi also directed authorities to provide the family with a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Heramb expressed his gratitude and told the media that he would always remain thankful to CM Majhi for the generous support.
