Moscow, April 9: Russia has extended an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the May 9 celebrations commemorating the 80th anniversary of victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko confirmed the invitation, stating that Moscow is hopeful of hosting the Indian Prime Minister at the event.
Rudenko, speaking to the state-run Tass news agency, mentioned that the invitation has been sent, and the details of the visit are currently being arranged. "The visit is being worked out... He has an invitation," Rudenko said on Tuesday.
