Cuttack, Nov 16: While AI and Robotic Science & Technology are gaining momentum across the world, techies of Bhubanananda Odisha School of Engineering (BOSE), Cuttack have developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) teacher in a first.
Three genius techies from the Electronics & Telecommunication wings here, have innovated the AI teacher with using the latest Pi Robotic technology with the able guidance of the faculties.
The development is a significant feat towards integration of artificial intelligence in smart education and teaching-learning process that has been the need of the time.
The students have reportedly taken around six months time to develop the Artificial Intelligence-based model. The AI powered robotic-madam answers questions and impart smart teaching to the students.
According to reports, the AI Model madam has been installed in the innovation centre on the BOSE campus.
With the accomplishment, the techies involved in it said that they developed the AI Model Madam following a Kerala-based model, with the guidance of the BOSE Principal.
“We added on our own research findings on the project and developed the model AI teacher more efficiently”, they added.
All components including the hardware, software and the whole cabinet, have been exclusively developed here. Later, it was powered with coding, decoding with manual storage management without a real server, said a key techie on the challenges they addressed.
Expressing pleasure with the new-project achieved by techies, BOSE Principal Hrusikesh Mohanty said, the complex robotic AI Model will be further developed so as to function its head and hands properly while it has to communicate and interact with students in a physical class.
Efforts and research works by the techies are still underway to incubate a better AI teaching tool, Mohanty added.
