Keonjhar, April 12: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his uncle and surrendered before police with the severed head. The incident occurred at Talapainsari village under Sadar police limits in Keonjhar district.
The deceased has been identified as Hari Dehuri while the accused has been identified as Kabi Dehuri.
According to the information, Kabi hatched a plan against Hari to kill him over some previous rivalry. While people in the village were busy watching ‘Danda Nacha’, Kabi asked Hari to come to a nearby field and he reportedly beheaded him with an axe.
After committing the crime, he surrendered before Suakati police with the severed head of Hari.
Though the exact motive behind the murder is not established, police suspect past enmity to have led to the crime. Following the incident, Sadar police reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
A case has been registered and the accused has been arrested for further interrogation, said police.
