Bhubaneswar, April 29: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved a Rs 10 increase in the minimum daily wage for workers across various skill levels. The decision, cleared today, will be implemented with retrospective effect from April 1.
Chief Minister Majhi has effected the wage hike to support the welfare and interests of laborers in the state.
Under the revised rates, the daily wage for unskilled workers will rise from Rs 452 to Rs 462 while semi-skilled workers will now receive Rs 512, up from Rs 502.
The wage for skilled workers will increase from Rs 552 to Rs 562. and highly skilled workers will see their daily wage go from Rs 602 to Rs 612.
