Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will organise cycle rally, marathon race, public meetings, plantation drive and blood donation camp to mark its 27th foundation day today.
Several programs will be conducted at all district headquarters and Assembly constituencies across the state where BJD leaders and workers will take a pledge to facilitate the creation of ‘Nabin Odisha’.
Special programs are scheduled to be held near Biju Patnaik’s statue at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s birthplace at Anand Bhawan in Cuttack. According to sources, a cycle rally will be organized from Anand Bhawan and to Biju Patnaik’s statue.
With less than a year remaining for the 2024 Lok Sabha and Odisha Assembly elections, this foundation day assumes significance for the BJD which is eyeing to come to power for the sixth consecutive.
