Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 concludes on high note

Bhubaneswar, Jan 30: The Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 has concluded with remarkable success, marking a major milestone in the state's industrial and economic transformation. With enthusiastic responses, the event saw 145 investment agreements totaling Rs 12.89 lakh crore, promising over 8.94 lakh employment opportunities.

Apart from the signed investment documents, 448 investment interest forms were received, with a potential capital investment of Rs 3.84 lakh crore, generating 3.92 lakh possible jobs. A total of 593 projects with a combined investment potential of Rs 16.73 lakh crore have been identified, along with the potential for 12.88 lakh jobs across more than 20 sectors, including chemicals, petrochemicals, mining, renewable energy, IT, and tourism.

The Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Majhi hailed the event as a key moment for the state's positioning as a global investment destination. He announced that the government would create a system to work round the clock to turn these investment agreements and intentions into reality. Majhi also emphasized Odisha's role as the gateway for business and trade with Southeast Asia.

The event saw participation from over 16 countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia, enhancing Odisha’s global presence. The Chief Minister also invited global business leaders to collaborate in turning Odisha into a commercial and industrial hub for Southeast Asia.

Majhi highlighted the importance of ease of doing business and further developing infrastructure, including ports and logistics, to ensure long-term growth and sustainability. He also expressed pride in the growing number of young entrepreneurs in the state and their significant contributions to Odisha’s economic progress.

The conclave’s success reflects Odisha's commitment to becoming a key player in India's industrial landscape, and the state government has vowed to continue supporting new investment opportunities, particularly in sectors like renewable energy and technology.
