New Delhi [India], November 4 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the recent attack on a Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada, labeling it a "deliberate and appalling attempt" to intimidate Indian diplomats.
In a strong statement posted on X, Modi emphasized that these “cowardly” acts of violence would not weaken India’s resolve and urged Canadian authorities to uphold justice and ensure the safety of Indian nationals.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) echoed this concern, condemning the violent disruption at the Hindu Sabha Temple. This attack comes amid heightened tensions between India and Canada, with both sides expressing concerns over escalating extremism and anti-India activities in Canada. Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre and MP Chandra Arya condemned the incident, describing it as crossing a "red line" set by extremists.
