Berhampur, April 03: TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has successfully commissioned a new 33KV link line between Hatiota Primary Substation (PSS) and Belagaon PSS in Polasara Block, Ganjam district. Spanning 7.565 km, this strategic development marks a significant step in enhancing power stability and reliability for over 34,000 consumers in the region.
Prior to this initiative, the region faced recurrent power disruptions and lacked alternative supply source. The execution of this project posed several challenges, including pole shifting and conductor stringing through agricultural and forested areas in Hatiota and Belagaon. Despite these hurdles, TPSODL remained steadfast in its commitment to ensure seamless execution with minimal disruption to the local community.
With the new 33KV link line now operational, the region benefits from enhanced power connectivity among substations. In the event of an outage at any Primary Substation (PSS) in the vicinity, this link line will facilitate uninterrupted electricity supply, thereby significantly improving service reliability and reducing downtime. The absence of a connection between Hatiota PSS and Belagaon PSS had previously led to frequent power disruptions, impacting not only these substations but also surrounding areas. This newly established link has effectively addressed these issues, ensuring a more stable and dependable power supply.
Amit Kumar Garg, CEO of TPSODL, stated, "Ensuring a reliable power supply is our top priority, especially with the rising demand during summer. The commissioning of the new 33KV line will significantly enhance electricity stability in Ganjam district. We remain committed for strengthening the infrastructure and delivering high-quality services to the people of Southern Odisha."
TPSODL continues to make significant investments in bolstering the power network across Southern Odisha. The company remains dedicated to adopting innovative solutions and developing a robust infrastructure to meet the growing electricity demands of its consumers.
