Bhubaneswar, January 28: The Adani Group has announced a major commitment to invest ₹2.3 trillion in Odisha over the next five years, covering sectors such as power, cement, industrial parks, aluminum, and city gas expansion.
The pledge was made during the Utkarsh Odisha 2025 investor summit, a significant event aimed at boosting the state's investment prospects. Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited (APSEZ) met with Odisha's Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, where they exchanged Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for the group's planned investments.
In a statement, the Adani Group emphasized that this ₹2.3 trillion investment is set to be the largest such commitment from any company at the Utkarsh Odisha 2025 event. The statement highlighted key areas of focus, including power, cement, industrial parks, aluminum, and city gas infrastructure.
In addition to the investment announcement, the first test flight successfully landed at Dhamra Airstrip on Tuesday, marking a milestone for regional air connectivity.
The occasion also saw the commissioning of six projects by Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) in Odisha. These included the launch of an electric vehicle (EV) charging station at Bhubaneswar Airport and the completion of the city gate station and mother station project. Other notable developments include the groundbreaking of an LNG and multi-fuel hub in Bhadrak, a CNG station in Balasore, and the first-ever domestic piped cooking gas and burner installation in Bhadrak. Furthermore, a CNG station in Rairangpur, Mayurbhanj district, was also completed, marking the first such facility in the city.
