Bhubaneswar, April 8: In a revolutionary initiative, the Ayushman Bharat Health Cards will to be launched in 22 Urban PHCs in Bhubaneswar on April 11.
A preparatory meeting for the launch of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY) card distribution, was held in the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by BMC Mayor Sulochana Das wherein hundreds of health officials, paramedics and doctors working under the BMC limits took part and asserted mass co-ordination in the community health schemes.
The PM-JAY, part of India’s Ayushman Bharat scheme, provides up to ₹5 lakh per family annually for secondary and tertiary hospitalization, targeting poor and vulnerable families, while GJAY is an Odisha-specific health scheme complementing PM-JAY.
