Bhubaneswar: The Lawrence Bishnoi contagion effect looming large over Bollywood stars. The SRK death threat seems to have opened up the Pandora ’s Box. The Mumbai police has cracked the death threat call issued to bollywood king star Shah Rukh Khan by arresting a lawyer Faizan Khan from Raipur, Chattisgarh. The arrested lawyer cried foul calling it a plot to implicate him by some vested interests.
Last week, actor Shah Rukh Khan made a complaint at Bandra Police station for receiving a call that threatened him and had demanded a ransom of Rs 50 Lakh. The Police registered a case under sections 308(4) (extortion involving threats of death or serious injury) and 351(3)(4) (criminal intimidation) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The threat to the actor comes in the backdrop of a series of death threats issued to Salman Khan by the Lawrence Bishnoi gangs, and the gunning down of NCP legislator Baba Siddique.
Earlier in October, Shah Rukh Khan received a death threat, and his security was tightened by the Mumbai Police. The superstar actor’s security was upgraded to Y+ - which means he now travels with an escort of six armed personnel, up from the earlier two-person.
PHONEY PLOT?
A look at the statement by the arrested lawyer Faizan Khan to the media in Raipur hints at a plot that have been seemingly lifted from Lawrence Bishnoi gang threat to Salman Khan over alleged hunting of black bucks (black deer).
Speaking to journalists, he said, “I hail from Rajasthan. The Bishnoi community (which belongs to Rajasthan) is my friend. Protecting deer is their sacred right as it is mandated in their religion. . So, if a Muslim eulogizes deer hunting, it is condemnable. SRK in his 1994 film Anjaam glorified deer hunting. I, therefore, raised an objection to it, and had filed a police complaint then," he claimed.
He then claimed, “Knowing my past grievance over the actor, someone has made a call from my stolen phone, and it seems intentional. I think it is a conspiracy against me."
He told reporters claiming that his phone was stolen on November 2 and a theft complaint was filed with the Khamardih police station in Raipur.
PHONE LEADS TO FAIZAN
After receiving the complaint, Mumbai police in the course of their investigation found that a threat call was made from a mobile number that is registered in the name of Faizan Khan. The Mumbai police team then immediately visited Raipur and summoned Faizan Khan for questioning. They interrogated him for 2-hours. He was then summoned to Mumbai.
Citing the reason of threat to his life, if he visits Mumbai since he had received large number of threatening messages, Faizan requested the Mumbai police for virtual interrogation. Mumbai declined the request and arrested him on Monday.
PLOT IN PLOT
The arrested lawyer Faizan is referring to an offensive dialogue by SRK in a film Anjaam released in the year 1994, four years before the blackbuck hunting by actors Saif Ali Khan and Salman Khan, Neelam et al dominated the national scene.
Deer hunting scenes were in galore in many Hindi and regional films. Even the Bishnoi community has never raised their voice against actors hunting deers in films. But SRK has seemingly borne the first brunt here, which suggests more of a plot in plot.
The particular scene from Anjaam is also now making waves on social media. The viral clip uploaded by one Bobby Uppal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_aL1w3woiI, shows SRK returning home after hunting a deer. In his dialogue, he orders his servant, “Hari Singh, a deer is lying outside in the car, you guys cook it and eat it.”
ACTORS ON TENTERHOOKS
While the dreaded gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is targeting Salman Khan for his alleged involvement in live Blackbuck hunting case in Rajastahn in the year 1998 (September 16, 1998), Faizan Khan seems to have been raking up an offensive dialogue on deer from a film that was years ahead of the national uproar.
Interestingly, SRK was not playing the hero role in the film. His is prime villain in the movie. The film’s hero and heroine are donned by top actress Madhuri Dixit.
The story of the film suggests that SRK played the villain role in the film. He donned the character of a spoilt rich guy, who got obsessed with Madhuri Dixit (an air hostess in the film). But Madhuri spurned his proposal and married Deepak Tijori (a pilot in the film). SRK killed Deepak Tijori. And, finally, after lots of twists and turn, Madhuri Dixit avenged killing Shah Rukh Khan.
The BOTTOMLINE is in films villain often talks all vices, if someone haul up an actor for his offensive dialogues in real life, then the film industry will come to a grinding halt as actors will became edgy then.
It seems the Anjaam movie bogey against SRK hints at some deeper plots.
