Bhubaneswar, Oct 24: Former Brahmagiri MLA Ajay Kumar Jena passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar today. He was 80.
Born on July 27, 1943 at Titipa village under Krushnaprasad block of Puri district, Jena was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly in 1977 and 1990 on Janata Party and Janata Dal tickets respectively.
Cutting across party lines, several political leaders condoled the demise of Jena.
A pall of gloom descended on Brahmagiri area after Jena’s demise.
