Bhubaneswar, Apr 10: Union Health Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national President JP Nadda is all set to launch the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana in Odisha on Friday (March 10).
Nadda will inaugurate the schemes in Cuttack during a special program. This was confirmed by Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal.
According to reports, Nadda will embark on a two-day visit to Odisha staring Friday.
As per the schedule, Nadda will arrive in Bhubaneswar at 1 PM tomorrow. He will launch the Ayushman Bharat scheme at the Bali Jatra ground in Cuttack during a special event. This will be a historic moment as 3.5 crore people in Odisha will benefit from the health services under the scheme.
Nadda will also inaugurate a three-day workshop organized by the Odisha BJP in Puri. MLAs, MPs, and party workers will take part in this meeting. During the event, JP Nadda is likely to share important plans and advice to strengthen the BJP in the region.
It is worth mentioning that the Ayushman Bharat PMJAY and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana are a joint initiative to improve healthcare access for the people of Odisha.
The state government will allocate up to Rs 5 lakh in treatment costs per male beneficiary and Rs 10 lakh for female beneficiaries. For households with members over 70 years old, the family will be eligible for up to Rs 15 lakh worth of healthcare services.
Eligible beneficiaries can avail themselves of healthcare services at over 29,000 registered government and private hospitals across the country.
