Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today assured the industry players that the government would be there at every step, supporting their efforts and ensuring a smooth transition into the state’s industrial landscape.

Addressing at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) session on the eve of Utkarsh Odisha - Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, Majhi highlighted the state’s growing importance in India's industrial ecosystem.

He emphasized that Odisha is no longer just a participant in the national economic narrative but is actively shaping its own success story with its diversified industrial growth, underpinned by a strong vision for the future.

The Chief Minister made it clear that his primary objective as the leader of the state is to create abundant opportunities for the people of Odisha, particularly its youth.

"My vision is simple, yet ambitious: to attract industrial investments, create jobs, and ensure sustainable economic growth," he stated. This commitment, he explained, aligns with the larger goal of transforming Odisha into a "Samrudh Odisha" by 2036.

In pursuit of this vision, the state government has adopted a robust three-pronged approach: developing world-class industrial infrastructure, championing ease of doing business, and advocating for large-scale job creation.

The Chief Minister outlined several strategic initiatives that have been put in place to ensure the state becomes an industrial powerhouse. A key focus has been on infrastructure development, with substantial resources allocated to critical projects. The aim is to provide ready-to-use plug-and-play facilities for industries looking to establish a presence in Odisha, thereby making it easier for companies to set up and operate efficiently.

Furthermore, the state has streamlined regulatory processes to fast-track approvals and clearances, ensuring that businesses face minimal delays in their operations. This, according to Majhi, will significantly boost the industrial sector and contribute to Odisha's economic transformation.

"We believe in treating every investor as a valued partner," he said, further assuring that his government’s doors would always be open for discussions and collaborations.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the state aims to not only offer an ease of doing business but also a lower cost of doing business, making Odisha an attractive proposition for both domestic and global investors.

Industrial growth, according to Chief Minister Majhi, goes beyond physical infrastructure. The true success of Odisha’s industrialization journey lies in investing in its people.

"Our core agenda is to generate quality employment opportunities and provide the necessary skills to our people, enabling them to access high-quality jobs," he stated, emphasizing that the people of Odisha are at the heart of the state’s industrial agenda.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his unwavering support and dedication to Odisha’s growth. He acknowledged Modi’s deep focus on the state, particularly through initiatives like "Vikshit Odisha" and "Purvodaya" under the umbrella of "Vikshit Bharat."

The Chief Minister also expressed his hope and excitement in hosting Prime Minister Modi at the inaugural session of the conclave.
